With a sleek, minimal footprint (~13 mm thickness, 164 g weight), it magnetically attaches to MagSafe-compatible phones (or phones with a magnetic ring accessory) — offering a lightweight and highly portable lighting solution.
On the lighting front, MA5R gives you full-color RGB control, adjustable color temperature from warm (1800 K) to cool daylight-like (10,000 K), and brightness dimming from 0% to 100%. For creative freedom, it includes 14 pre-programmed FX modes (e.g. mood lighting, special effects) and supports GM adjustment (–50 to +50). It also features a smaller “selfie light” on the magnetic back — useful for video calls or portrait selfies — with its own color temperature range (2800 K–6500 K) and high color fidelity.
As a power bank, the MA5R’s built-in 4900 mAh battery lets you top up your phone in low-battery situations — a handy perk when using your phone for extended content creation or travel. Charging via its USB-C port takes roughly 1.5 hours to full battery.
For convenience and creative workflow, MA5R supports remote control through the proprietary “Godox Light” app (Bluetooth) or NFC quick-connect. This allows you to adjust brightness, color temperature, effects and monitor battery level from a distance — useful during vlogging, setup adjustments, or when mounted off-hand.
