The RCR123A batteries are equipped with a nickel-plated S.S. protectors at both ends to provide high impact resistance, good electrical conductivity and oxidation resistance. To prevent abrasions and other external damage, the NL166 cells are coated with a durable metallic film, while its circuit board is coated with an ultra tough plastic. The cell's innovative anode is designed to resist high temperatures, while a micro-porous barrier within the battery protects its delicate internal components. The battery even features a specialized pressure relief valve that activates if the battery experiences a rapid temperature increase.
