Underneath the case has a 1/4" screw thread for you to directly mount the case with your camera to a tripod, so you do not have to remove your case to mount your camera to the tripod.
You can also have access to your camera's battery compartment without removing the case due to an access point underneath the case.
This is a full case in two sections. So, you can also use it as a half case. A strap is included to carry the full case.
