The BOYA BY-BM3011 Cardioid Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone is a lightweight, compact condenser microphone designed to deliver improved sound quality for vlogs, YouTube shorts, Facebook clips, and other video content created with smartphones and DSLR/mirrorless cameras.
The mic is powered by a single AAA battery for up to 72 hours. Its cardioid polar pattern captures audio in front of the microphone, picking up less background sound than the omnidirectional mic built-in to a camera or phone.
The BY-BM3011 is built with ABS plastic construction and features an integrated shockmount to absorb noise-causing vibrations. The shockmount attaches directly to your camera's shoe mount and features a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom to accommodate tripods and other mounting options.
A foam windscreen and a furry windscreen are included to reduce wind noise both indoors and outside. Also included is a 3.5mm TRS to a 3.5mm TRS cable for cameras, camcorders, and audio recorders along with a 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable for smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
