The bright f/0.95 maximum aperture offers increased control over depth of field and focus, as well as benefitting working in low or difficult lighting conditions. Maintaining a high degree of image quality throughout the aperture range, a sophisticated optical design features both low dispersion and high refractive index elements to control chromatic aberrations and reduce color fringing.
Balancing the optical components is a robust all-metal lens body that facilitates a smooth manual focus design along with a manual de-clicked aperture ring for smooth, silent exposure adjustment. Depth of field and distance scales are also featured on the lens barrel to aid working with pre-focusing techniques. With a Minimum Focusing Distance of 37cm allow for extreme close up of subject.
